Investing hw help please?

Imagine you are an investment counselor for Jack and Rachel. Assess each investor's personal and financial situations; assess trade-offs between risks and return. Then make recommendations about how much risk that an investor should assume and the types of investments he/she should make (stocks, bonds, annuities, money markets)

1.) Jack is 26 and single. He lives in a small studio apartment, works as a Web site designer, and has $50,000 to invest. His immediate plans include saving to buy a house, replacing his used car and going to graduate school.

2.) Rachel is 55 and a newly retired teacher. She and her husband own a house in the city and have a small summer cottage by a lake. Rachel had $50,000 in retirement funds to invest. Her immediate plans include vacationing in Italy and taking photography classes at the city's art museum. She and her husband plan to sell their home and purchase a condo.

Look at the following to make your decision
- Personal situation
-Financial situation
- Goals
- Risk
- Return
- Amount Invested

I want to hear what your opinion would be if you were an investment counselor for these 2 people and what you would exactly do for each person.

How can I get my family here in Italy?

I have my permesso di soggiorno and wants to get my two sons from the Philippines. How can I get them using legal documents?

Answer on How can I get my family here in Italy?

You're not a citizen yet. You need to show the Italian authorities that the mother is OK with you taking them and that you can provide for the both of them without any financial help.

You start by logging into the Italian Immigration Office's website and download the appropriate forms.

Should I have told him his dead mother approached me?

My boyfriend's mother died over Labor Day weekend when we were in San Francisco and she was back at home in Southern California with her husband, where my boyfriend lives. My boyfriend received the terrible news the afternoon before we were to head back home to LA on the airplane.

That night, we had sex and prayed the rosary for her on our knees before the bible the Gideon's place in every hotel room. Early the next morning, I had a vision of his dead mother as I am schizophrenic and can see these kinds of things. While he and I lay in separate beds, I saw his mother lean over and watch him sleep. She didn't look at me, she only looked at him silently. I told him this in the morning while we were at the airport on the way home to LAX.

What I didn't tell him, was that I also saw his dead mother approach me that morning as I was in the bathroom of the hotel looking at myself in the mirror. The door was closed and she was walking towards me with something in her hands trying to give me something. I saw her through the closed door. My best guess was that it was one of the cheap, flashy, plastic costume jewelry she bought ever so often at a Mexican swap meet near her house (I was fortunate enough to have gone there with her once in a while and I really loved it). It looked like it could have been a necklace my boyfriend gave me. He knows I dislike jewelry, especially cheap jewelry, but I wear it to please him.

It was either a cheap piece of flashy costume jewelry, most likely a necklace she was trying to give me or it was a flashy plastic rosary I kept looking at, but never bought when I went to the swap meet with her. I wanted a rosary, but not one that they had there. I don't like flashy, plastic stuff, and I wanted a wooden or other type of rosary made in Italy or in Jerusalem, so I could keep it and pray with it for the rest of my life and maybe pass it down to a future daughter, niece, etc.

I eventually bought a rosary recently from the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels gift shop in Downtown LA when I went for the first time on a Saturday by myself on the bus. It was a beautiful white plastic, double looped rosary made in Italy. I had it blessed by my parish priest, and I prayed over it and continue to do so. I picked the color white, because it is a color of purity, love, and also the color a bride gets to wear when she marries in the Catholic church, fulfilling one of the seven sacraments.

My boyfriend and I broke up. I insulted him and his family to the point where they don't even want to talk to me. I hurt him and his family after his mother died, and all this on the last day of the 9 day rosary in remembrance of her, to pray for her. That was really uncharacteristic of me, and I should have known better, but I can't explain it and I can't take it back. I can only hope time heals all wounds and they all forgive me, and he takes me back.

His dead mother's vision that morning was followed by another brief vision of her approaching me and leaving me with one final message, no gift in hand, nothing material to leave me with. She said in plain English (and she only spoke Spanish, a language I'm not fluent in), "You don't know your worth." That was the last thing I heard from her or saw the morning after she died. My boyfriend and I left for LAX that morning, and I stayed with him and his grieving family for an entire week. My parents met his father and family for the first time at the funeral service, and they came at the last minute after I begged them to come and pay their respects and meet the entire family, especially the father of my boyfriend, his sister and brother-in-law, his brother and brother's wife, and the cousins who came all the way from Chicago.

I never told my boyfriend about my visions of his mother coming to me that morning in San Francisco in our hotel room early in the morning before he was even awake. I merely told him, I saw his mother watching him sleep, and I even added she didn't look at me or even acknowledge me. I was trying to help him cope with his mother's death, and give him some peace of mind.

His sister in law informed me during that week I stayed with the family that his dead mother wanted to give me some costume jewelry. She had something for me she left the sister-in-law with that she wanted me to have, but I told his sister-in-law, that's okay, you keep it. It probably means more to you and your children than it does to me. I'm not big on jewelry anyhow. I never mentioned this to my boyfriend, or at least I don't think so.

My question: Should I have told him his dead mother approached me with the gift in her hand, and should I have told him what she said about me not knowing my worth?

Answer on Should I have told him his dead mother approached me?

M.L., is this a loving, tolerant, forgiving boyfriend? If it is, he will come to his senses, love you and forgive you. Because, from what you have written, you seem to be a loving, compassionate person, and you need someone like that. If the bf is not, like the mother said, you don't know your worth! perhaps this situation was exactly why she told you what she did. Jesus loves you too. About the question, you told him what pertained to him. When it comes to visions, you have to go with your conscience on what was meant to be revealed to others and who, so I think you made the right choice!

Who's the worst dictator of the 20th century(mention below)& why(who was the reason for the misery of humanity?

Who's the worst dictator of the twentieth century (who mention below) and why (who was the reason for the misery of humanity), the most prominent of them in the order with many thanks to all:

1- Adolf Hitler (Germany)
2- Benito Mussolini (Italy)
3- Franco (Spain)
4- Stalin (Soviet Union)
5- Emperor Hiro Hito (Japan)
6 – Any other Dictator

Answer on Who's the worst dictator of the 20th century(mention below)& why(who was the reason for the misery of humanity?

Hitler.

He started a war of annihilation and enslavement that spread into a global conflict that killed at least 70 million people - all in pursuit of an absurd racial ideology that didn't want to just conquer, but to physically exterminate perceived threats to his people.

What in the non peak season to travel in Europe?

We are planning for our Europe trip. From the tips that we read, reservation for trains are required and strongly recommended if you are travelling via Eurorail during peak season. There's also this peak season surcharge that we want to avoid. So when exactly is the non peak season to travel Europe? We had London, Parie, Swiss, Italy and Germany in mind.

Answer on What in the non peak season to travel in Europe?

The non-peak season here in Italy is pretty much from October through March. There are exceptions if you're going to the ski areas. You should be aware that there are reservations/supplements for the faster trains regardless of the season. Here in Italy, it's 5 euro per Intercity train, 15 euro for a Eurostar, and 20 euro for an Alta Velocita train. The night trains may be higher for a berth. You have to go to a ticket window in the train station to pay the fee before you get on the train. There's a substantial fine if you don't. It's often cheaper to get point-to-point tickets directly from the national train systems rather than having a pass. The Eurorail tickets are most likely to be an advantage if you're doing a lot of travel using the slower regional trains which may also require a lot of train changes for long distance travel. There are often discounts available on tickets if you buy the ticket at least one day in advance. For example, here in Italy, the Intercity, Eurostar, and Alta Velocita trains offer an "Amica" fair that's up to a 20% discount over the standard fare. On international trains to and from Italy, there are often "Smart" fares or other promotional discounts that offer significant savings. There are limited numbers of discounted tickets though.

You can find the national train sites by searching for "train" and the name of the country you're interested in. Note also that the Eurail pass does not cover the UK.

The German train website is particularly good for planning train schedules throughout although you’ll have to go to the individual train websites to price trips outside Germany. http://www.bahn.de/international/view/en…

Is Silvio getting advice on how to lie to the Italians from Bubba Clinton?

How Silvio Berlusconi Has Managed to Hang On
Battered by a sex scandal, the Italian Prime Minister is still in power, helped in part by his Finance Minister and weak opposition parties

By his own reckoning, since becoming Italy's Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi has endured 105 judicial probes and trials and 2,500 court hearings and spent more than 300 million euros ($409 million) in legal fees defending himself against allegations of tax fraud, bribery, corruption, and more. That's 48,000 euros a day since he was first elected in 1994, when he parlayed his celebrity as a media baron and one of Italy's richest men into a political career.

Did italy really cheat australia??

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2pgg8j0g...

italy deserved to be up 3-0 after the first half but anyway watch the video and you'll see it was clearly a pk, the defender slid in with no control and wasnt even close to the ball while interferring with grosso's progress...and its funny how no one says italy was cheated after getting a dubious red card against them..australia had every opportunity after that to score but couldnt even get close to the net...

Answer on Did italy really cheat australia??

Italy deserved to win, they were a much better team. If the game had went to overtime Italy still would have won, because their goal keeper is much better.

What do you think about these things (? about radical Islam and its spread)?

Hi, I just read this on Yahoo from a poster named Templar...I found his information to be interesting, not sure if it is accurate, but seems like it could be. What do you think about this? Is it historically accurate? Are there other factors involved in these countries he listed? :

"The Islamization of America and the World

Throughout history, in every culture where Islam has ascended, they have conquered by making extinct their host culture. Islam does not assimilate into societies, it dominates them! There is no "getting along with Islam," there is only acquiescence to its never-ending demands.

Islam is not a religion – it is a complete system. Islam has religious, legal, political, economic and military components. The religious component is a cover for all the other components. Islamic rule occurs when there are enough Muslims in the host country to fight for their so-called “religious rights.” When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to Muslim demands for their “religious rights,” Muslims become more assertive and increasingly more aggressive.

Here’s how it works according to a Central Intelligence Agency 2007 report:

When the Muslim population remains 1% - 2% of a country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority as in the United States, Australia, Canada, China, Italy, and Norway.

At 2% - 4% of the population they begin to proselytize ethnic minorities and begin major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs as they have done in Denmark, Germany, U.K., Spain, and Thailand.

From 5% - 8% of the population they exercise a greater influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. For instance, they increase pressure on supermarket chains to carry Islamic foods on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply with their demands as they have done in France, the Philippines, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Trinidad and Tobago. At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under the Sharia Law.

At 10% - 15% of the population, they increase lawlessness as a means of achieving compliance with their demands. Any action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats as in Guyana, India, Israel, Kenya, and Russia.

After reaching 20% - 50% of the population expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burnings as they have done in Ethiopia, Bosnia, Chad, and Lebanon.

From 60% - 70% of the population you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels as they have done in Albania, Malaysia, Qatar, and Sudan.

After reaching 80% - 90% of the population expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide as they have done in Bangladesh, Egypt, Gaza, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Morocco, Pakistan, Palestine, Syria, and Turkey.

At 100% of the population they will compel all people to adopt Islam or they will put them to death as they have done in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, and Yemen.

Muslims are coming to a neighborhood near you. Never think they “accept” you! Never believe they will not harm you! The ultimate goal of Islam is to establish Sharia law over the entire world. Resistance is futile unless they are kept out in the first place!"

Answer on What do you think about these things (? about radical Islam and its spread)?

It's utter BS, that part about not assimilating to the local culture. Muslim practice is different across the entire world because Islam *hasn't* destroyed local culture.

"After reaching 20% - 50% of the population expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burnings as they have done in Ethiopia, Bosnia, Chad, and Lebanon."

You really want to talk about Bosnia? Where Muslims were *murdered* by *Christians*?

Seriously, this is attributed to an unsourced CIA report, and I think that alone should tell you how truthful this info is.

Hi what was your downside on FDR policys during his 4 terms in office?

So smells like fun time what to do tho?

i'll go in a small trip to Rome-Italy and on sunday i want to go out in a good club (with music like:oldies but goodies, rockish but danceble one, anyway party party kind, NOT hip hop or r&b or techno). So if u've been to italy or u are from italy pls do help me if u have a link with that place it would be super duper great(because i'm too much of a lepra =lazy butt, to search it for myself).......THANK YOU!!!

Answer on So smells like fun time what to do tho?

Rome has mainly small clubs in the centre, but I can recommend. The drunken Ship in Piazza Camp dei Fiori for exactley that kind of music and vibe.

BEWARE: "NIGHTCLUBS" in Italy do not have the same meaning as they do in English speaking countries.

"Nightclubs" are strip joints or hostess clubs over there and I know many people who have been caught out when asking taxi drivers for recommendations.

Discoteca or Discoteche Plural - (Discotech in English) is the word to use in Italy or you might get some funny looks.

Have Fun!

Similarities between India&Italy are both striking&startling, including corruption. So isn't crystal clear...?

So isn't crystal clear that India obviously is facing many scams under the influence of ....................
Complete the sentence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…

http://www.hindu.com/2011/02/08/stories/…

Corruption: is Italy a step ahead?

Most Indians say they feel at home in Italy: life is chaotic, no one obeys the rules, policemen can be paid to cancel fines, there is massive tax evasion, the mafia controls large swathes of territory, the government counts for little and for the well-heeled, life is very good indeed.

Like India, Italy was forever being invaded by the outside world. Both our countries are insular peninsulas, protected in the north by the Himalayas in your case and by the Alps in ours. India was constantly taken over, first by the Aryans, followed by the Greeks, the Muslim rulers of the Delhi Sultanate, the Mughals, the Portuguese, the British, the Dutch, the French … and the country was divided into several independent kingdoms or city states like Hyderabad, Mysore, Gwalior, etc. It was the same with us. We had very powerful city states like Venice, Florence, Genoa, Pisa or Amalfi. We were ruled by the Spanish Hapsburgs and also by the Austrians. Then came the Napoleonic wars from 1796 to 1814 when Napoleon destroyed several parts of Venice including the great Arsenale or shipbuilding docks and stole some of our best Renaissance art treasures. When you are ruled by foreign powers, the only persons you can trust are members of your own family or community. That is how Italy's nepotism began. In India of course appurtenance to caste and community have the same effect.

Answer on Similarities between India&Italy are both striking&startling, including corruption. So isn't crystal clear...?

So isn't crystal clear that India obviously is facing many scams under the influence of ---- pseudo-pride about a glorious past!!

Both nations are too proud of their achievements in the past. Both claim that their language is mother of all world languages (Latin, Sanskrit, Tamil etc). Surprise surprise - both look at their own land as the fulcrum of spiritual world.

If the asker wanted the reply ".... under the influence of Italy" am afraid that won't be accurate. The first scam of independent India was by TT Krishnamachari (for which he resigned from his cabinet position). If we are talking about coincidences TTK was also a Tamil.

Edit: O am sorry. Mundhra Scandal wasn't the first. It was the largest at that time. Anyways, my point is that is futile to blame it on Sonia's Italian influence to have brought us the scams. Sonia is to be blamed for the current fiasco, but anything more than that is us Indians trying to wash our hands off the responsibility. This is a major problem at we face in our society. We love the blame game. We will pee in the streets and bribe our way through taxes, but would blame it on the system.

Edit 2: India needs to revolt agianst her own self: not against any other country.

Where can I find televisions that work in europe?

I need to buy tv, vcr, dvd that work in Italy. What do I look for?

Answer on Where can I find televisions that work in europe?

Well the best thing you can do if you're traveling to Europe is buying your stuff there as if something goes wrong with your goods you have the warranty and don't have to send your electronics back home. Remember that they use DVD zone 2 and PAL video format there, so if you take your things there, they'll probably won't work. Also their plugs are different, so you better find a local retailer.

PLEASE HELP I'm having some trouble...?

Hey guys, thanks so much for answering. Sorry if this is really long and crap, but I feel so upset right now and I need to vent. Thanks for being there :)

so there's this guy in drama club that I like. He's two years older than me (I'm a freshman) and he recently ended things with his girlfriend, so we were getting pretty close. He usually flirts with me and picks on me and stuff. Last week though, the club was cancelled by the board abruptly because our director quit due to personal family matters. Now there is no drama club, and I basically have nothing to do after school. The problem isn't the fact that we won't have a spring musical this year; the problem is, I have no other way to hang out with the guy now. He's only a junior currently, but he's transferring to a college next year because he has enough credits, so I practically will never see him again. It's almost been a week since the last drama club meeting when I last saw him, and ever since, I haven't gotten any emails, texts, whatever from him. Yesterday, through facebook and through some of our mutual friends, I found out he's getting back together with his ex. It didn't upset me that much..but I was very unhappy because now not only will I never see him again, but he's back with his perfect girlfriend (who I have always felt inferior to..she is literally PERFECT). So after days of staring at my phone, praying for a text, and fantasizing about how he's just show up on my doorstep and ask if I'd like to go out with him (haha), I decided that I was totally over him. His sweatshirt that he gave to me on a cold day when I had forgotten mine: I stuffed that into the back of my closet so I'll never have to look at it again. The bottle of lemonade he bought me and even took a couple of sips from, I've kept that on my nightstand for about a month (i know, it's gross, but it's the closest thing we've ever come to a kiss), I wrote "I don't care anymore" on it with black Sharpie, and recycled it yesterday. The pen he gave me that he had gotten from the Hotel Cisterna in Italy: I gave that to my friend during math class.
Basically, I've just been going out of my way to do all sorts of things like that; things to make me get over him. Do you think I'm making too big of a deal out of something that was never anything in the first place? I mean, we were never boyfriend-girlfriend, but I really thought we had a chance, and now I basically have to hope, or opportunity. I'm trying soo hard not to dig up that old sweatshirt out again, and I'm trying my best not to check his facebook page and look at our old pictures and stuff, but it's torturing me. Do I have a reason to be upset? Or am I just fooling myself.

xoxo¦stephanie

Answer on PLEASE HELP I'm having some trouble...?

This sounds shockingly similar to my situation. No, you are not just fooling yourself. Crushing on someone hurts, and while you like them, its ok to hang on to the little things (I kept a paper that my crush doodled on for the longest time), but when you realize that it wont work out with that person, you do need to move on, despite your feelings (something you seem to be doing well with so far). Do whatever you need to do to get over him, no matter how far you got with him.

This might not be so helpful when it comes to getting over him, but it IS ok to txt him every once in a while if you just want to talk. Do what you WANT to do at all times, not what you think you, or others, SHOULD, because it will help you be stronger as an individual, then you can move on as an individual as well.

So, I want to work in Italy to deal with Art theft..?

I am in college right now majoring in Art History, and up to this point I always thought I would do curatorial work in museums. However, now I would like to possible work in Italy dealing with Art Thefts and things are that sort. I was thinking of doing a simultaneous major in Italian, but this is where I am stuck. I have no clue on how to pursue my interests, what type of organizations to look into, or what merits I should try to obtain. I would greatly appreciate if anybody could provide me with information to serve as an impetus, Thanks!!!!!

Answer on So, I want to work in Italy to deal with Art theft..?

Check in your local museums and talk to the curator, ask them how you can get started in that certain profession. Starting out as a curator wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Can anybody tell me where does Kaká resides in Italy?

Kaka - Ricardo Izecson Dos Santos leite
I want to know where does Kaka stays in Italy ?

Answer on Can anybody tell me where does Kaká resides in Italy?

he stays in Milan. most of the time, players are opted to live near their home pitch and training ground in order for the coaching staff to easily recall them when they are needed and also to reduce the effects of fatigue whenever home games and trainings are called.

What is the cheapest way to travel from Florence Italy to Amsterdam?

How much would it cost and can you provide a detailed description of how to go about traveling the given route?

Answer on What is the cheapest way to travel from Florence Italy to Amsterdam?

It depends on when you travel (month and even which day), your age & how far you book (usually the further in advance = the cheapest)

You have several choices

<By air>
e.g. you can still get a one-way flight (2 hours) directly from Florence to Amsterdam with Meridiana for as little as €63.08.

< By coach>
Cheap way to travel but not as comfortable as the train and a lot lot slower of course than by air. Tickets for Oct & Nov are still as little as €96.00

<By train>
Takes 17-20 hours dependoing on how many connections there are. Usually this is not cheaper than the above two even if you book well in advance, but the element of comfort does incur a cost `

Please help me i have a lisp!?

Hey guys I am an 20 yr old american girl i speak english and for some reason i developed a lisp over the last 2 years. I am diagnosed with generalized anxiety and i had a traumatic event happen 2 years ago. When I speak english I seem to slur my words together and not pronounce things clearly and it is really embarrasing. I am also learning italian since my family is from italy and when i speak italian the lisp is much more evident because it involves alot of vowels.....I am so upset i dont know what to do please help!

Answer on Please help me i have a lisp!?

I would suggest that the only person who could help you with this speech impediment is a speech therapist. Call the office of any local psychologist or psychiatrist and ask them to recommend one.
