Studying Post-graduate engineering in USA?

Hi everyone, I'm an Italian student and I'm about to finish my engineering studies here in Italy and I would like to post-graduate study in the USA..I'd like to go to Los Angeles, I checked the websites for CSUF(Cal State University Fullerton) and CSULB(Cal State University Long Beach).
I wanted to know what I'd need to apply to these universities..and HOW MUCH THEY COST!..
I know people who studied there and they have a normal job, but they could afford it anyway..so..

thanks to you all.

Talk to each uni you look at to find out if they offer any financial support to foreign masters degree students in engineering. In your field, some of them do. They'd often pay your tuition in exchange for you doing work as a teaching or research assistant. Ask the programs/unis.

The best engineering programs that I believe are near LA include: UCLA, USC, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis, UC Irvine, and Cal Tech. Now forgive me. I do NOT know California geography. I know that UCLA and USC are right in LA, and I *think* that the others are somewhat close to that part of California, but if I've accidentally picked some that are too far away, please forgive me. I just have no concept of Cali geography. But all are great engineering schools.

Normally, to apply to graduate engineering programs, you will need to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), and perhaps the GRE and the GRE subject exam. But check the websites for each program that interests you. They'll tell you what you, as an international student, need to do in order to apply.
