"Born in 1943, during one of the biggest battles in history, I was the first and only child of Maria and Vincenzo Emanuele. I was born in a small city called Trieste in northern Italy, where the majority of people work at architecture, healthcare and real estate. "
"For the past couple of years, despite everything my grandmother has been through, she had done just about anything possible to make me happy. But by that time, our living conditions weren't looking good. Prices were rising, there was a lack of education, and grandma's health was in jeopardy. We were aware of the problems, but decided to carry on with our lives as usual."

I was the only child of Maria and Vincenzo Emanule;born in 1943. The city I was born in was a small one in northern Italy, called Trieste. The majority of the people worked at archictecture, health care and real estate.
Despite everything my Grandmother had been through, she did her best to make me happy. The living conditions weren't good, what with prices rising and the lack of education. Grandmother's health was not good. We knew of these problems but tried to make the best of a bad situation.
