Why is italy such an interesting place to visit?

Answer on Why is italy such an interesting place to visit?
Scenic beauty of areas like Cinque Terre, the Amalfi Coast, the Lakes, the Alps and many other areas. Lots of interesting history with visible remnants. Great art & architecture. Good music. Wonderful food. Varied and interesting local traditions and festivals throughout the year...and the Italian people themselves. There's something for everyone here.

Can You Tell me About the Italy and ECW tribute?
i need some information about it plzz
Answer on Can You Tell me About the Italy and ECW tribute?
i think you are talking about CZW (Italy and ECW tribute)
Shortly after their return to the arena, on May 10, 2003, the company promoted a show entitled "Then & Now: A Decade of Defiance." The event was a tribute to the last ten years of wrestling in the New Alhambra Arena, or at the time; Viking Hall. The show opened with John Zandig welcoming the fans to the show and played an 11 minute music video highlighting the last 10 years of wrestling in the arena, from Eastern Championship Wrestling in 1993 to Combat Zone Wrestling in 2003, featuring music including the ECW theme, U2's "Where The Streets Have No Name" and White Zombie's "Thunderkiss 65."[8] A low quality version of the video was available on the promotion's website for a limited period of time and still circulates on the internet to this day. After the video finished, Zandig then issued a 10 bell count in memory of those who performed in the building who had died.
Also, Zandig stated that he had invited Tod Gordon and Paul Heyman to appear. Zandig noted that Gordon didn't want to show "so he didn't care" and that Heyman didn't return his calls "so he doesn't give a f*ck about this place anymore." Zandig said that he called Tommy Dreamer to make an appearance but Dreamer was unable to due to WWE commitments but was honored he was asked. It should be noted the promotion didn't invite anyone to attend the show until the last week prior.[9]
On October 25, 2003, the promotion made their debut in Italy, later on March 27, 2004, the company returned for another event which featured Sabu in a tables match.

If the Axis won ww2?..............?
would Europe be a German state or would it have fallen apart?
would Asia be a Japanese state would that of fell apart?
where would facist Italy be in this picture?
Answer on If the Axis won ww2?..............?
Due to the erratic, illogical nature of Nazi leadership, especially Hitler and Himmler to a lesser extent the Germans would have found themselves fighting everyone for ever. Hitler for some reason didn't like to promise things to countries even if they were allied with him. The German allies would quickly have become disillusioned with him. We all know how bad Hitler was at keeping promises with other countries as this was one of the causes of the war. Finally the Germans would have found most of the territories they conquered up in arms against them, as the Germans practised some very brutal policies. They would quickly have destroyed any economic benefits to holding these territories as they did in real life during the war in the East.
One of the main reasons the Germans lost the war was their inability to use the territories they conquered effectively and the indecision and fanaticism in the German leadership would have only made this worse over time. If you look at the records you could find all manner of plans, all of which were one mans or one ministry's fantasy about how the world would look when Germany won, the problem was Hitler would agree with too many of these. The people would then try to put them into action, they did not always work together and some of the schemes would be mutually exclusive, however Hitler allowed them both to go ahead.

Argentina passport - will he need visa to visit Spain/UK/EU ?
Hi !
My friend lives in Argentina and has a Argentine passport. He wants to travel to Spain to meet me (for which im certain -having researched- that he does not need a visa to do).
I would then like to travel to UK with him. Will he need Visa's for any of this? Im considering going to a maybe France/Italy etc with him and im assuming that as traveller only (not working/living) we won't need visas to move around EU?
Thanks all
Answer on Argentina passport- will he need visa to visit Spain/UK/EU ?
You did not tell us your nationality. If you are American, you may visit in the UK for up to 6 months without a visa. You may stay in the Schengen countries for up to 90 days. I checked and your friend does not need visas to the UK or the Schengen countries either. You may use the site below to verify.

Please help me understand if I am making a BIG mistake?
Let me introduce myself. 30 years old. Italian but have lived in the U.S. for many years (away from my family in Italy). In the past I have had a 5 year relationship (21-26) which ended really badly after living together for almost 2 years and moving across the country twice. Back then I was maybe too young to commit myself to marriage and she was 3 years older than me so ultimately we drifted apart but it wasn't because there was somebody else involved, at least on my part. It was a really hard break up because we ended up having to live together for 3 months more. I tried to break up with her first and just backed up 24 hours later because I couldn't go through moving my stuff out while she was there (I just wanted to be single and have fun and I guess it wasn't enough of a pull to do it). We gave it another year and then she broke up with me.
It was about 6 months later and a couple of flings, that I met my current girlfriend who I have been with for more than 3 years. She is more than four years younger than me so the age difference didn't put pressure on being married soon as she was only 22 when I met her. I was in love with her from the very beginning (and probably had never felt that way before) and it grew stronger for everything she did for me when I lost my job during the recession. But last year after more than 3 years of relationship including living together and moving to a different state, I began to feel as the main character in the famous film "The Last Kiss." The fear of something final and a marriage proposal that she has been expecting for a long time now. We always spoke about it with enthusiasm from the start until a few months ago. I was in love with her from the first week I met her, but it may have had a lot to do with how attracted I was to her at least in the beginning. While we have always had several things in common (good job and education), desire to have a family in the future, etc. there has always been a lot of fighting and perhaps some of the fights have left their mark. I used to be jealous of her romantic past (she is what I would call a serial monogamist) and I wound say hurtful things. She gave me everything but she can be very aggressive, also due to bipolar disorder diagnosed to her as a teenager (following a suicide attempt). That 's another big question mark for me…the future with a wife and mother of my future children who is bipolar.
In addition we were raised very differently. I come from a traditional Italian family and although I live far from them (out of professional necessity) we are very close. I grew up catholic and although I don't practice I do believe and I would like to raise my kids the same way. She is atheist and grew up Jewish although would have no problems if our kids were raised catholic. She grew up basically on her own, her parents had to take care of her autistic brother and she lacked much needed attention especially as a teenager. Only now they have become closer. But when she was 19 she went off to Australia to finish her studies for a guy she met there because she was trying also to get away from everything back home. Ultimately, it didn't work out and she returned to the US and soon after she had at least 3 flings in the spam of a year, she met me.
At this point, after a period of arguing and threats to leave, a few months ago I decided to take advantage of the chance of a specialization course of 2 months in Latin America to "understand" if I can be ok without her even if she does not know that this was the real reason. The first month nothing happened and she visited me twice on the weekends. Then by chance, I met a local girl introduced to me by friends in a bar because she spoke Italian. Simply beautiful inside and out. Latin culture therefore more similar to mine. She speaks Italian (my girlfriend doesn't yet after more than 3 years and I worry that she never will, something that for me is important since my kids will have to speak Italian to communicate with my family) and English as well as Spanish of course. Same age of my girlfriend and she works as a pediatrician (which I am very fascinated by, having a lot of respect for the nobility of the profession and her young age). I decided to see her again and from there I began to see her often. After about two weeks, I told her my situation and initially she took it really badly and cried saying she wouldn't want to see me again but then decided for once in her life to follow her heart and continue to see me.

I Can't remember for the life of me!?
I was watching TV,the other day (possibly PBS) and they were talking about a city in Italy I think where a lot of people had red hair and a lot of them had the same last name... It was Bai'u or Bae'u or even Bau'u. And they've lived there for hundreds of years. It wasn't the main topic of the show so they weren't really talking about it for a long time.
Answer on I Can't remember for the life of me!?

What brand are the Pole Position Go Karts?
I know they are electric & pole position nic-named them EK20. I also know that they are imported from Italy. I do not know who manufactures them & what manufacture model they are. Please help me with this. I have been trying to find out for weeks, and it seems like a dead end.
Thanks!
Answer on What brand are the Pole Position Go Karts?
I've only been to any of the Pole Position facilities a couple times, but their karts and charging equipment look very much like the OTL Italia karts from what I recall (which also makes a junior model, which I recall Pole Position has these too). I think this would be the most likely suspect if they are sourcing everyone from a single maker (rather than getting a chassis and motor from different suppliers).
Thanks!

Dream interpretation - Please help!?
The other night I dreamed that I was walking thru a parking lot when I saw a group of teenagers. One came up to me & started a fist fight. I pull her head back & began punching her & cussing. We were fighting pretty hard. It ended & we were still fighting.
Last night I dreamt that a couple robbed me & took all my $$, I was in Italy. I said "that's ok, you 2 need it more than me" I was trying to be Christian abt it. Then I got mad & asked how much they took & when the guy showed me, I stole it back. I had befriended them & then took back my $$.
I was trying out for American Idol & somehow made it to the final 12 but I can't sing (that's true). I was making a fool of myself & wanted them to cancel my tv appearance b/c I was just joking. Elvis Presley was there too.
Answer on Dream interpretation - Please help!?
In the first dream you seem to feel like at times that you must fight to defend yourself from others trying to cause trouble for you. Hopefully you do work at trying to not get people upset with you and you try to avoid unnecessary conflicts. But one does have to fight for one's rights at times.
The second dream you dealt with a robbery by being nice and relating to the people taken advantage of you. Then, managed to get your money back. Sometimes one can handle a difficult situation in a clever way by being nice, and then being able to turn the tables on those who are taken advantage of you. One can handle situations with many strategies. It helps to know that one is able to find different approaches that work, that are not what would be called ordinary ways of dealing with a difficult situation.
The third dream has to do with trying something in an area that is beyond your capabilities, and not appearing in the best light. Elvis I guess shows up when you would least expect it, and when you would probably not want him there. But it appears that in this dream that you were able to go far with little talent, so I guess you can sometimes make the most of what you have going for you.
Meditation/prayer, exercise, and eating healthy, can help one stay spiritually strong, so that you can keep yourself better able to not be pushed around or taken advantage of, and able to find the right direction to go with your life.

Leather Jacket Bent - How To Straighten?
I have a nice leather jacket from Italy (no, you can't have it). While it was stored it looks like the front flap where the buttons are was bent around (forwards). Now, whenever I put the jacket on the front flap flips around instead of staying straight, almost like it has been creased or bent in storage. Well, it probably was stored incorrectly.
Question: Do you all know of any way to straighten or fix the crease/bend? It runs pretty much along the whole length. I've tried bending it the other way and folding it, etc... but it seems to always want to flip back the way it should not be.
Help, it's getting cold!
Answer on Leather Jacket Bent - How To Straighten?
Sounds serious. You should take it to a leathersmith and ask if he/she can fix it. If not, and if you really like the jacket, you should ask the leathersmith to make a copy of it. It'll cost a fortune, but you say it's a nice jacket.
And let this be a lesson to you: treat your leather with respect.

Vampire Novel Title Ideas?
I have started a book called 'Sway'. A girl called Mia Romanelli was born into the world, but part of her was missing something. There was a void. As she grew up to become a hater of the world, her style as an emo/grundge/scene girl, and problems at home with her parents, she meets someone that changes everything forever. Milo Braia. Not as such an Edward Cullen or a Stefan Salvatore, but just as beautiful. Milo romes the shadows as any other vampire story would usually begin, but his goal is to not be among humans.... but to eat them. Like I said, no Edward or Stefan. Then somethign happens, he meets her. Mia. Yet she looks just like Stella Voietta! Mia IS Stella. From 1547 Genoa, Italy. Stella was a vampire who was murdered, and never seen again. Milo wanted his revenge so he reeked havok on the people of different towns throughtout the many years.
thats kinda a summary of some parts. I can't give ya all of it lolz.
but FYI, to anyone who says that it is like tha vampire diaries it is not, cuz i have vampire hunters and anyways Elena wasn't Katherine lolz. But Mia isssss! XD
;)
can you help me with some other titles cuz i might not stick with 'Sway'
Answer on Vampire Novel Title Ideas?
Actually I really like the title sway its very intriguing and doesnt give the story away at all. It should definitely be the story of your book.
Other titles you could use as chapter names like the ones below that I jst thought of.
Past essence
Insomniac dreams
Souless Void
Drawn to your serenity
Unfathomable spirit/aura
I just thought of them and though they might not be good for titles they are alrite for chapter names. Keep writing and put twists in ur story so no one can say its like VD or twilight xoxo

What's the most romantic pick up line ever used on you?
I will share mine, and I have not heard a better one to date...I was on a cruise ship pulling out of Italy on my way to Greece. I was sitting somewhere, where there was a slight chance I could fall overboard. An Italian man came up to me & said, "if anyone else was sitting there, I would be worried about their safety." Puzzled, I asked "So you are not worried about my saftey?" To which he replied, "If you fell overboard, every man on this ship would jump in to save you"
I was stunned.
Answer on What's the most romantic pick up line ever used on you?
awww that is really sweet...... mines was I'm having a party in my mouth are you coming?

Can someone please help me with this question?!?
While visiting Pompeii, Italy, Paloma saw a mosaic in the shape of a triangle on the floor of an ancient home. Paloma measured one tile in the mosaic and found it to be 1 centimeter on each side. She then measured the width and height of the mosaic and found them to be 152 cm and 79 cm, respectively. Find the number of tiles that were used to make the mosaic by calculating its area.
A. 6,004 tiles
B. 73 tiles
C. 231 tiles
D. 12,008 tiles
Answer on Can someone please help me with this question?!?
152 x 79 = area of a square, divide by 2 to get the area of the triangle. Since each tile is 1 cm, the area is the same as the number of tiles
A is the answer.

How to convince parents to let me backpack through europe at 16 ( forget to mention something)?
When I am 16, I want to backpack through Europe on my own for about 4 months. I can get the money needed but how can parents be convinced to let me do this, on my own. I am very responsible person and do not try and get into bad situations. I speak some French and some Russian so would that be any reason to let me do what I want to do, This will be only chance. The countries that would be seting foot on are.
So how how much would I need to bring , money?
Would being with my best friend make them more likely to let me go
At 16 can I legally do what is wanted without permission?
Dublin, Ireland
Reykjavik, Iceland
Oslo, Norway
Stockholm, Sweden
Tampere, LS, Finland
St. Petersburg, Russia
Moscow, Russia
Yerevan, Armenia
Jerusalem, Israel
Chisinau, Moldova
Athens, Greece
Tirana, Albania
Belgrade, Serbia
Podgorica, Montenegro
Budapest, Hungary
Zagreb, Croatia
Rome, Italy
Malta
Madrid, Spain
Andorra La Vella, Andorra
Paris, France
Brussels, BRU, Belgium
Amsterdam, Netherlands
Should I be allowed to do this?

You've already asked this question 7 times; how many times do you need to see the word NO before you realize that your parents are right and you are wrong?
What fallacy makes you think this is your only chance? That is total nonsense.
Your list is ridiculous for a single trip of a seasoned adult traveler; it is total insanity for a child. Most of those places won't permit to stay in a hotel alone; some won't let you enter the country unaccompanied. The cost will be astronomical; ?10.000 to ?15.000 easily, maybe more. The travel to all those places will be huge, and accomodations - even a hostelry - for 4 months (120 nights) would be thousands. Perhaps you should ask your parents what it cost them to have you in their home for 4 months - the answer will shock you!
The visas you will need will cost hundreds, and if they knew you were traveling alone the would deny the visa - especially Russia.
So you speak a little French and a little Russian - enough to get around? Or only a few random words? What about Flemish, Spanish, Maltese, Croatian, Serbian, Albanian, Greek, Moldovan (Romanian), Hebrew, Armenian, Finnish, Norwegian, or Icelantic?
To answer your quesion: NO - you should not be given permission to do this. NO - you are forbidden by law from leaving home without permission. You will be labelled a runaway and hunted down like a fugitive. Even asking such a question proves you lack the responsibility or maturity to be let out of your home without supervision - let alone out of the country.

Where would you rather live for the next 3-4 years: Spain, Italy, Germany, Azores, England, or Hawaii?
My husband and I have to put in our top 5 picks of where we want to get stationed next through the Air Force and hope to get one of them. We're going to try to stay overseas and these are probably our best options. Where would you want to go 1-5?
The Azores are in the middle of the Atlantic between the US and Europe - same latitude (about) as Spain.
Answer on Where would you rather live for the next 3-4 years: Spain, Italy, Germany, Azores, England, or Hawaii?
1. Italy, hands down.
The weather, food, people, scenery, and the wine just to a name a few. Spent all my free time on our overseas there. Still go back every year for a month. Not a lot of English spoken in general. Don't know if that's a consideration for you.
2. Germany - Did two tours in Germany, felt like we were trapped in Epcot Center after 2 weeks.
3. Spain- too far away to hop, skip and jump to a new destination on long weekends.
4. Azores- too isolated.
5. England - terrible weather and food.
6. Hawaii - it's still America. See some other part of the world on Uncle Sam's nickle. Plus I have met many military who where stationed there and have island fever- can't stand being trapped on an island.

Neighborhoods in Rome, Italy..?
Which neighborhood is ideal to stay in in Rome, Italy? I want to go in mid-February, and want to see all the touristy spots: the Trevi Fountain, the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, etc. I also am going to take the express train early to Venice to spend the afternoon. I was looking on Expedia and Travelocity websites for airfare and hotel and they can sort hotels by different areas and neighborhoods in Rome...which neighborhood would you recommend is best? There are choices such as Trevi and Pantheon, Trastavere, Vatican City, via Venito, Villa Borghese...I have no idea which is the best place to stay. I would like it to be safe to walk around at night, of course, and I don't mind things being busy or noisy. Should I pick a place near the termini strain station? Please someone help!!
Answer on Neighborhoods in Rome, Italy..?
I stayed near the spanish steps for a month. It was quiet and wonderful. The Trevi Fountain is ALWAYS busy. I would walk back to my apartment at 2 or 3 in the morning and people were there. So there's a noise issue. The Colosseum area is extremely touristy but close to a few good sights. The Vatican is too far away from the point in Rome, you'd have to take a bus or walk. You might as well stay in the center of Rome so you only have to walk to the Vatican when you want to go. The Pantheon is a good place. Villa Borghese is close to the Spanish Steps and is also a nice, quieter area. Most of those sites are within walking distance to anywhere else, which is good. Hope this helps!

Can I enter Netherland with Schengen Visa that I get from Germany Embassy?
Im going to Europe next month. i was gonna take flight Singapore-Munich. Im planning to stay most of the time in Germany. After that i will leave for Holland and Italy. the problem is im going to change my ticket from Singapore - Amsterdam. Can I go straight to Amsterdam (Singapore-Amsterdam) but get the Schengen Visa from Germany Embassy? or should i get Visa from Netherland Embassy? Please Help
Answer on Can I enter Netherland with Schengen Visa that I get from Germany Embassy?
The application is not based on the airport of entry but it is based on the main destination. If you plan to stay most of the time in Germany you will still need to apply at a German Embassy/ Consulate even if you enter the Schengen zone in the Netherlands.
http://www.singapur.diplo.de/Vertretung/… ..
Should you plan to stay in the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy for the same length your point of contact would be the Durch Embassy.

Btw: do you need a visa at all? Passport holders of Singapore can stay for up to 90 days without the need to apply for a prior visa. To apply for a visa from Singapore you need to be a resident in that country.

How will Italian Women respond to Black Men?
I'm planning on Visiting Italy some time next year. I was wondering how Italians react to Black men. Specifically what do the women think?
I've been to places like Spain and Sweden and the women absolutely love black men there. What's it like in Italy?
Answer on How will Italian Women respond to Black Men?
Italian women can be attracted to the black man, naturally. They think of him as any other object of affection. If there is chemistry and physical attraction that would be her main focus until she can sit down and get to know you personally.
In Italy, you will be accepted and you will not be alone. Just smile and be polite, this is going to be an unforgettable adventure for you! Wish you the best time!
